About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Follow up with third party payers and patients on outstanding account balances, including credit balances
- Facilitate prompt resolution of outstanding account balances
- Verify patient coverage information
- Update patient registration as required
- Complete required training between 8am–5pm, Monday–Friday
- Work periodically onsite at 7974 UW Health Ct. in Madison, Wisconsin
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1 year of experience in an insurance, finance, medical, hospital, or customer service-related field required
- Revenue Cycle experience preferred
- Epic experience preferred
- Knowledge of medical and insurance terminology preferred
- Knowledge of CPT and ICD coding structures preferred
- Knowledge of billing forms (UB, 1500) preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Associate's Degree in Business, Finance, Health Information Management, or related field preferred
- Training availability from 8am–5pm, Monday–Friday
- Ability to work hours that may vary based on operational needs
