About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Configure and customize products to support sales teams
Bridge engineering and sales to accurately represent and tailor product offerings to customer needs
Collaborate with sales and applications engineering teams to develop configurable product solutions
Create and maintain SolidWorks models and configurations for quoting and sales activities
Develop tools, templates, and documentation to streamline product selection and customization
Interpret customer requirements and translate them into viable product configurations
Support development of CPQ systems
Ensure configured solutions comply with engineering standards and manufacturing capabilities
Provide technical support, training, and documentation to sales teams regarding product configurations
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to product configuration and sales enablement

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or related engineering discipline
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in engineering design, product development, applications engineering role, or related technical roles
Strong mechanical engineering background
Advanced SolidWorks experience
Working knowledge of electro-hydraulic systems
Ability to work effectively within cross functional teams
Ability to plan and execute
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in SolidWorks / Solidworks PDM, including configurations and design automation/documentation with PDM systems with downstream document control
Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment
Ability to communicate effectively with customers, sales teams, and cross-functional stakeholders
Ability to work with sense of urgency and self-motivation
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
Ability to work effectively in office, manufacturing, and customer-site environments
