About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead day-to-day operational technical discussions for EMEA AX and D365FO
Propose solutions with suppliers and EMEA IT colleagues to mitigate repeated ERP incidents
Troubleshoot AX and D365FO environment issues
Review and improve technical work instructions for support technicians
Improve stability and reliability of production and nonproduction ERP environments
Liaise with the GSSC Infrastructure team on ERP technical issues
Ensure service providers follow technical design policies
Advise SOM and AMS technical teams on new technical solutions
Support domains on technical issues arising from ongoing projects
Ensure health monitoring minimizes service disruption and detects ERP issues quickly
Work with the EMEA ERP Technical Architect to enhance ERP reliability and supportability
Review supplier root-cause analyses and ensure resulting solutions are delivered
Provide technical expertise to Support and participate in supplier management discussions
Provide third-line support to support organizations and business users
Assist with root-cause investigations and problem management
Optimize environment data refresh processes
Assist developers with operational issues
Perform SQL query performance tuning on AX databases
Manage DevOps pipelines
Manage D365FO environment updates
Analyze business requirements and design solutions aligned with the EMEA template
Explain and demonstrate ERP tools to users
Communicate completed work, implementations, testing, and deployments

Requirements

What you’ll need

12+ years of experience in Dynamics AX versions (2009, 2012) and D365F&O
Proven ERP implementation experience in large-scale environments (1000+ users)
Experience integrating AX and D365FO with external systems
Installation and configuration of Dynamics AX components
Strong knowledge of Dynamics AX 2009, AX 2012, and D365F&O
Good understanding of programming principles and best practices
Knowledge of formal software release and deployment management
Experience working in global, geographically dispersed, multicultural, and multidisciplinary teams
Excellent problem-solving skills
Hands-on experience with X++ coding and debugging, AIF, DIXF, D365FO data management, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft .NET Framework, Microsoft Integration Stack, Azure, Azure DevOps, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, LCS, and PPAC
Familiarity with automated deployment and DevOps practices
Experience with Visual Studio Tools for Dynamics AX and X++, GitHub, Morph X++, and Team Foundation Server
Effective verbal and written communication in English
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with Windows operating systems
Ability to work at various ASSA ABLOY locations throughout EMEA and willingness to travel
Must possess or be able to acquire a valid passport
Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which hired
