About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and maintain software using Java, SQL, HTML, and JavaScript
Collaborate with senior engineers to design and implement new features
Evaluate enhancement requests and help identify technical solutions
Contribute to automated testing and overall software quality
Maintain technical documentation and coding standards
Learn and apply modern development tools, frameworks, and best practices
Participate in troubleshooting, upgrades, and continuous product improvement initiatives
Build and enhance PRO-TECH TITAN, a software platform used throughout the architectural, engineering, and construction industry
Support software covering the project lifecycle from estimating and detailing through procurement, installation, and project completion

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree, coding bootcamp completion, or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Foundational understanding of object-oriented programming using Java
Familiarity with Spring Framework and Hibernate/JPA
Awareness of servlet containers such as Jetty
Experience with Maven or Gradle
Working knowledge of Git version control
Experience using IntelliJ IDEA
Familiarity with SQL databases, including writing SQL queries, JDBC connectivity, and ORM-based data access
Understanding of object-oriented, component-oriented, and service-oriented design principles
Ability to write reports and business correspondence in English
Ability to present information and respond to questions in English
Agile software development methodologies, ORM technologies, Linux administration or command-line tools, and public cloud platforms are preferred, not required
Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, use hands, reach with hands and arms, communicate clearly and effectively, and lift up to 10 pounds
Ability to work near moving mechanical parts
