About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and execute the commercial business strategy for the Data Center vertical in North America
  • Collaborate with the AAES central organization and local business unit across ASSA ABLOY divisions
  • Manage key accounts and serve as the primary interface for comprehensive solution offerings, including equipment, software, and services
  • Lead the Data Center Solutions business toward growth and support SEC & BSP strategic direction
  • Inspire regional teams to surpass goals
  • Implement go-to-market strategy, efficient processes, and KPIs for continuous improvement
  • Define product requirements based on customer needs
  • Coordinate major projects and key account activities across divisions, business units, and business areas
  • Serve as primary interface for hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, internal, and third-party stakeholders
  • Translate global data center strategy to the North American market and execute it
  • Act as AAES interface for HID, security integrators, and technology partners
  • Build and maintain relationships with data center owners, design-build firms, general contractors, consulting engineers, and security consultants
  • Influence specifications early in the design phase
  • Monitor competition and gather market intelligence on facility build-outs, campus expansion, and physical security and compliance standards

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in global and international sales or business development
  • Experience in the data center industry/environment, including hyperscale, colocation, or enterprise facilities
  • Experience in physical security and access control for critical infrastructure, including security vestibules, security revolving doors, turnstiles, or high-security entrances
  • Higher education with a technical degree or commercial degree
  • Fundamental knowledge of the data center industry and/or identification and reader technologies/biometrics
  • Familiarity with data center security and compliance frameworks, including Uptime Institute tiers, SOC 2, ISO 27001, and PCI DSS
  • Experience and network among data center developers, operators, design-build firms, and security integrators
  • Ability to navigate within a complex matrix organization
  • Experience driving RFI, RFQ, and tendering processes and influencing specification business
  • Proactive and entrepreneurial attitude and ability to understand technical interconnections and complexities
  • Ability to work strategically, tactically, and operationally
  • Strong technical understanding of hardware, software, solutions, and application layers
  • Strong business orientation, drive, and results focus
  • Strategic sales development skills to establish business plans and convert them into sales and activity plans
