About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop embedded firmware applications for next-generation digital door lock products using BLE, Zigbee, WiFi, and other network technologies
  • Work with internal and/or contract firmware developers and architects on design and system architecture discussions, hardware analysis, and application design
  • Program and debug code
  • Write automated unit test scripts for developed and integrated features
  • Participate in code reviews, code optimization, power management, unit testing, and feature integration
  • Collaborate with the hardware team during design, development, and integration
  • Assist team members with best coding techniques for embedded firmware applications
  • Work within a scrum team to collaborate on design

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BS or MS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study.
  • 3+ years of embedded development experience using C language.
  • Must be proficient with C, RTOS, Git, and Jira
  • Experience in design, development, and testing complex, multi-threaded embedded IoT applications
  • Experience with communication protocols via I2C, SPI, UART, and others
  • Specializing in optimizations for code size, execution speed, memory usage, task scheduler and interrupt controlling, exception handling, and power management
