About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Shape and drive the HSEQ strategy, ensuring a safe, compliant and high-performing workplace.
- Act as the HSEQ subject matter expert across the business.
- Lead initiatives promoting safety, quality and environmental responsibility.
- Maintain and enhance HSEQ management systems and ensure compliance with legislation and industry standards.
- Lead and champion a positive HSEQ culture across the business.
- Manage, maintain and continuously improve the ISO 9001 Quality Management System and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
- Provide expert advice, coaching and training to managers and employees.
- Oversee risk management, audits, incident investigations and corrective actions.
- Monitor HSEQ performance and lead initiatives improving safety, quality, environmental performance and operational effectiveness.
- Work closely with operational leaders and the Senior Management Team to develop processes, drive best practice and support continuous improvement.
Requirements
What you’ll need- NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) with a strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation and compliance requirements.
- Proven HSEQ experience within manufacturing, engineering or other operational environments.
- Hands-on experience managing ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 management systems, including audits and continuous improvement activities.
- Strong skills in risk management, incident investigation, KPI reporting and implementing corrective actions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coach, influence and drive positive change across the business.
