About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the on-site subject matter expert for recruiting, payroll, and broad human resources functions
- Lead full-cycle recruiting for hourly and salaried positions from requisition approval through offer acceptance and onboarding
- Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop recruiting strategies
- Source candidates through job boards, social media, employee referrals, networking, and other channels
- Screen candidates, coordinate interviews, support selection, and provide timely candidate follow-up
- Advise on candidate selection, compensation considerations, interviewing practices, and employment requirements
- Coordinate offers, background checks, drug screening, and other pre-employment activities
- Support onboarding and new-hire integration
- Monitor recruiting metrics and recommend improvements
- Ensure recruiting and selection compliance with employment laws, company policies, and ASSA ABLOY standards
- Process bi-weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly payroll accurately and on time
- Maintain payroll records and data integrity in HRIS and payroll systems
- Review timesheets, wage calculations, and payroll information
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports
- Respond to employee payroll, deduction, and timekeeping inquiries
- Assist with year-end W-2 preparation and distribution
- Support payroll audits and reporting requirements
- Manage HR programs covering talent development, performance management, employee relations, compensation, diversity, benefits, safety, and employee experience
- Facilitate employee engagement events and initiatives
- Provide counsel, coaching, and guidance to site leaders and employees
- Oversee safety reporting, investigations, claims, and countermeasures
- Foster a positive workplace culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Administer HRIS processes for onboarding, employee records, performance reviews, and succession planning
- Monitor and analyze HR metrics
- Perform other duties and special projects as required
- Work as a trusted partner to plant leadership in a caring, service-oriented environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field
- 5–7 years of progressive HR experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role
- 2+ years of payroll processing experience
- Experience with ADP, SuccessFactors, or similar systems preferred
- Experience with high-volume manufacturing, operations, skilled-trade, or similar recruiting strongly preferred
- Experience using applicant tracking systems, job boards, social media, employee referrals, and other candidate sourcing tools
- Strong understanding of payroll regulations and employment laws, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, and EEO
- Experience in manufacturing or fast-paced environments preferred
- Experience managing safety programs is a plus
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Commitment to compliance and company values
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Experience with HRIS systems, such as SuccessFactors
- Experience with payroll systems, such as ADP, Paycom, or Workday
- Ability to write reports and business correspondence in English and present information and respond to questions in English
- Ability to travel when needed
- Ability to meet physical demands, including sitting, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, reaching, communicating clearly, and occasionally lifting up to 10 pounds
- Ability to work in office and shop environments near moderate to loud noise, fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, and moving mechanical parts
- Ability to assist with practices aligned with ISO requirements
