About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the technical direction of the DevOps function, defining standards and architecture across cloud infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, observability and platform security
Design, deliver and continuously improve scalable, secure and cost-effective cloud platforms for development, testing and production environments
Drive operational excellence through improved reliability, performance, security, governance, monitoring and cloud cost optimization
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the DevOps team, support career development, promote engineering best practices, and contribute to recruitment and onboarding
Collaborate with software engineers, product teams and business stakeholders to deliver technical solutions and manage improvement initiatives
Act as an escalation point for complex technical challenges
Report to the Head of Software
Shape and evolve ASSA ABLOY Biosite's DevOps capability and support secure, scalable and reliable platforms for innovative products and services

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong hands-on experience designing and implementing cloud infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, containerized platforms and modern DevOps toolchains
Deep technical background in DevOps, cloud operations and cloud security
Ability to drive secure-by-design practices and operational maturity
Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting experience within complex production environments
Experience leading, mentoring and developing engineers
Experience delivering technical projects and platform improvements while working effectively with cross-functional engineering and product teams
Experience evaluating, developing or deploying AI-powered tools and solutions to improve engineering productivity, operational efficiency or platform capabilities (nice to have)
Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools, Large Language Models (LLMs) and modern AI frameworks relevant to DevOps and platform engineering (nice to have)
