About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee monthly accounting activities and participate in the month-end close process
- Analyze balance sheets, income statements, expense trends, and financial variances
- Analyze lease agreements, customer contracts, and complex transactions for appropriate IFRS accounting treatment
- Prepare, review, and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial information uploads
- Maintain effective controls within Oracle, OneStream, and related financial systems
- Review transactions, project setups, labor cost allocations, and billing activities for compliance
- Identify and resolve root causes of financial variances
- Partner with the Regional Controller, regional management, global finance teams, and shared services stakeholders
- Drive ERP enhancements and financial systems improvement initiatives
- Evaluate business initiatives, projects, contracts, and transactions affecting regional financial results and profitability
- Lead and develop a high-performing accounting team supporting Latin America
- Collaborate with global finance peers and business partners to resolve accounting issues
- Lead special projects and process improvement initiatives supporting organizational goals, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and 7+ years of related experience, or Master’s degree and 5+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 2 years experience managing a team and developing talent
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply accounting and financial policies and procedures
- Strong understanding of the financial impact of accounting transactions
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple concurrent priorities while meeting deadlines
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Strong experience with enterprise financial and reporting systems, including Oracle Cloud, OneStream, and Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to communicate effectively in Spanish, both written and verbal
- Applicants must be currently and legally authorized to reside and work in Brazil
- Immigration sponsorship is not available
- International relocation or remote work arrangements outside Brazil will not be considered
