About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform highly complex technical tasks in mechanics and optics, including troubleshooting
- Assemble devices and systems according to assembly drawings
- Read and interpret technical part drawings, assembly designations, and complete drawing sets, and work according to JQV
- Install and align optical components in mechanical systems
- Install, operate, and function-test electronic components in opto-mechanical systems
- Apply joining technologies such as bonding and fastening
- Perform surface finishing and paint touch-up work
- Use mechanical and opto-mechanical measuring, testing, and alignment equipment
- Perform alignment and adjustment work to accuracies of up to 1 µm
- Use a PC for alignment, commissioning, and final acceptance testing
- Perform final acceptance testing in accordance with JQV
- Provide technical guidance to colleagues and temporary workers
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed three-year vocational training in a relevant field, such as Industrial Mechanic (Equipment and Precision Engineering), Mechatronics Technician, or Precision Mechanics Technician
- 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience
- Ability to read and interpret technical trade journals, specifications, international technical standards, and similar documentation
- English proficiency at school level (A1 or A2)
- Proficiency in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows
- Applicants must currently be legally authorized to live and work in the applicable hiring country
- No assistance with immigration procedures or employment visa sponsorship is available
- International relocations or remote-work arrangements outside the hiring country will not be considered
