  • Manage multiple projects, competing demands, changing priorities, and tight deadlines
  • Use problem-solving methods to identify, analyze, and solve engineering problems
  • Work independently and collaboratively on cross-functional project teams
  • Support design of equipment, tooling, automation, robotics, and manufacturing processes
  • Work in office and production environments near moving mechanical parts while following safety requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate in Applied Science Degree (AAS) in Drafting, Mechanical Design, Engineering Technology, or related area from an accredited college; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5-7 years of practical experience in mechanical design within a fabrication, manufacturing, assembly, or industrial work environment
  • Experience developing machined and sheet metal parts
  • 2+ years of AutoCAD design/drafting experience
  • Experience designing and developing mechanical systems and components
  • Machine design and Solid CAD modeling experience
  • Experience in product design, GD&T, and CAD tools
  • Experience with machined and sheet metal parts
  • Ability to use spreadsheet, word processing, database, and automated systems
  • Advanced/Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills; Word, Excel, Smartsheet, and PowerPoint preferred
  • Proficiency creating manufacturing drawings for parts and assemblies
  • Proficiency in mechanical design using CAD software such as AutoCAD or Autodesk Inventor
  • 3D solid modeling and 2D CAD drawing skills
  • General understanding and experience with ERP systems
  • Valid motor vehicle operator’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle
  • Working knowledge of industry drafting and CAD standards
  • Ability to read and interpret customer specifications and engineering drawings
  • Knowledge of mechanical component design and manufacturing processes
  • Ability to work on cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects
  • Ability to learn 4Front engineering processes, assembly processes, and ERP system
  • Knowledge of mechanical drawing standards and GD&T preferred
  • Ability to work with plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
  • Electromechanical and mechanical aptitude/troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of CAD model assembly management and subsystem/detail drawings
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing, assembly, sewing, and welding equipment and tooling
  • Working knowledge of material types, specifications, and characteristics used in dock and entrance automation products and warehouse solutions
  • Ability to work beyond 40 hours per week, including weekends and holidays, as workload requires
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments and office/production equipment
