About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage the Pedestal PRO product category and analyze product-category performance throughout each product lifecycle
  • Produce category and product performance analyses, gap analyses, product retirement analyses, SWOT analyses, and PEST analyses
  • Develop market requirement documents, product proposals, and financial business cases for new product development projects
  • Develop product category strategies, product roadmaps, and product generation plans
  • Identify and recommend new business opportunities and product feature requirements
  • Perform pricing and competitive analysis by customer channel and recommend strategies to improve market position, quality, and costs
  • Generate revenue, unit-volume, and profit forecasts and track performance against goals
  • Monitor competitive products, market trends, and product trends and communicate findings to management
  • Develop strategic marketing plans, including product definitions, pricing, positioning, channel strategies, and KPIs
  • Develop product training programs and provide customers with technical product information and solutions
  • Manage new-product beta and functional field testing, including test-site identification, field-installation coordination, and monitoring test results
  • Keep the product line current with code and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate with engineering, sales, marketing, operations, support, and training teams
  • Travel up to one week per month

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) from four-year college or university
  • Ten (10) years experience in a related technical field
  • Applicable credentials associated with access control technology products
  • Experience in the field of access control integration with a full understanding of requirements, design, usage, and functionality
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted
  • Proficiency in spreadsheets and database software
  • Professional working knowledge of email, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence in English
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions in English
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts including discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
  • Ability to apply common-sense understanding, follow detailed instructions, solve practical problems, conduct research, and perform information-gathering interviews
  • Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and communicate clearly and effectively
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
  • Ability to work near moderate-to-loud noise, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and moving mechanical parts
