About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manufacture high-quality timber and metal doors for commercial and residential projects
- Assemble and adjust components using hand and power tools
- Operate Beam Saws, CNC Routers, Edge Banders, Brake Presses, Turrets, and Laser Cutters
- Fit components accurately based on job orders
- Read and interpret workshop drawings
- Fabricate profiles using bending and cutting machines
- Identify material types
- Work to hourly targets and KPIs
- Conduct quality checks on own work
- Report defective goods
- Perform basic equipment maintenance
- Keep work area clean and safe
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in a workshop or manufacturing environment (factory, production, assembly, Install or fabrication)
- Door hardware installation skills highly regarded
- Good mechanical aptitude skills
- Ability to read a tape measure, pressure gauge, level, and square
- Comfortable using power and hand tools
- Reliable, team player, and able to work independently
- Commitment to safety and willingness to follow WHS guidelines and wear PPE
