About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Operate production machinery or assist machine operators
  • Examine products for conformance to quality standards
  • Observe equipment and report malfunctions
  • Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items manually or using hoists
  • Count finished products to determine order completion
  • Mark or tag parts for identification
  • Load and unload items from machines, conveyors, and conveyances
  • Supply or hold materials and tools for production workers
  • Clean work areas, equipment, doors, and frame components
  • Clean and lubricate equipment
  • Record product inspection quantities and production dates and times
  • Perform other tasks assigned by supervision

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High school diploma or GED certificate and/or industrial experience
  • Mechanical ability
  • Ability to read various dimensional metrology instruments
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality control
  • Experience or ability with forklifts, hammers, hoists, jacks, ladders, screwdrivers, material-hoisting slings, tape measures, hand tools, measuring instruments, and power tools such as saws
  • Knowledge of mechanical machines, paint systems, and assembly operations
  • Ability to work in normal manufacturing-environment conditions
