About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist in the administration and management of a portfolio of Shared Services infrastructure projects
  • Coordinate projects under PMO supervision and lead delegated projects
  • Manage scope, schedules, budgets, quality, resources, and project activities
  • Develop and manage project plans and time/cost projections
  • Create project charters, work plans, and other relevant documentation
  • Maintain project data and artifacts, including tasks, RAID logs, resources, documents, schedules, and status trackers
  • Collaborate with project managers, solution architects, functional leads, business leadership, executive teams, project teams, business users, and external managed services providers
  • Identify project and application dependencies and risks; develop mitigation and contingency plans
  • Facilitate meetings, workshops, technical working sessions, daily/weekly standups, and cross-team checkpoints; document agendas, minutes, action items, and outputs
  • Prepare and present periodic project progress reports covering status, risks, required actions, milestones, and timelines
  • Track task progress across implementation projects
  • Coordinate hardware procurement, rack/stack activities, and data center logistics
  • Assist with change management processes
  • Participate in internal business and technology councils and other groups
  • Ensure projects are completed on schedule, on budget, within scope, and to quality standards
  • Ensure satisfactory handoff and transfer of project control upon completion
  • Travel occasionally, up to 15%

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2-5 years of experience supporting IT infrastructure, operations or technical project delivery
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure components; servers, storage, networking, cloud platforms, and data centers
  • Experience supporting Mergers and Acquisitions
  • Experience with JD Edwards and SAP ERP related projects
  • Experience working on projects tied to AIX, RedHat Linux, and SUSE Linux
  • Experience with project management tools such as Smartsheet and MS Project
  • Experience supporting hardware refresh cycles, cloud migrations, and App Modernization
  • Experience supporting Disaster Recovery initiatives, Business Continuity, and Backup projects
  • Experience with ITIL operations and proficiency in ITIL foundations
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and manage competing priorities under pressure
  • Ability to drive effective meetings, workshops, technical working sessions, and problem-solving sessions
  • Ability to apply and adapt project management methodologies and frameworks
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and conflict-management skills
  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative, shared-services environment across multiple divisions
  • Proficient in MS Project, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • 4-year college degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or Business; relevant education and experience will be considered
  • Desired: experience with QAD Manufacturing ERP projects
  • Desired: experience with Red Prairie projects
  • Background and understanding of operational processes in a manufacturing environment; functional competency in manufacturing, distribution, and financials
  • PMP, ITIL Foundations, and/or similar certifications are desired
