About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Check parts for visual and dimensional defects in all production departments
- Check in-process inspection paperwork and IPC sheets
- Communicate potential discrepancies and process control problems
- Write up non-conformance reports when necessary
- Report all issues to department leads and supervisors
- Work with Quality department employees, production employees, operators, leads, technicians, and production supervisors
- Perform other duties as required by the supervisor
- Ensure products meet customer visual and dimensional requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Previous experience in a manufacturing operation desirable; minimum 12 months’ experience preferred
- Must be able to instruct operators how to use all functional gages
- Must be able to read and understand measuring devices, including measuring tape and square
- Prior experience with hand tools desired
- Thorough verbal and written communication skills to accurately describe quality conditions
- Organized and able to operate with some degree of independence
- Able to read and interpret blueprints/work instructions
- Must be able to work individually or as part of a team
- Must observe and adhere to all safety rules and practices, including PPE requirements
- Work boots and long pants are required
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
