About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Deliver electrical designs within project schedules that meet customer requirements and applicable machine safety standards
Prepare required Product Creation Process documentation
Ensure timely availability of bills of materials, drawings, setup/configuration lists, process flowcharts, machine operation flowcharts, and safety-related PLC software
Report progress, status, and results of assigned work to management and Project Leaders
Analyze customer requirements and translate them into electrical specifications
Develop detailed electrical designs and electrical systems within cross-functional teams
Create electrical schematics and associated bills of materials
Review designs for specification compliance, manufacturability, and standardization
Translate designs into procurement material lists, drawings, setup/configuration lists, flowcharts, and PLC software
Provide instructions to third parties and monitor their work quality and progress
Document information for manuals, procedures, and work instructions
Test and validate designs for functionality and safety
Develop and maintain test setups and prepare test protocols for Assembly & Test
Support Assembly & Test personnel with technical questions
Propose improvements for existing IAI products
Track and resolve End-of-Life issues for newly built machines and the installed machine base
Liaise between Software Engineering and Mechanical Engineering
Ensure knowledge transfer to the Assembly & Test department
Collaborate with project teams, purchasing, suppliers, international colleagues, and customers
Determine required machine safety levels with engineering and development teams
Coach and mentor Electrical Engineers
Serve as Lead Engineer on project teams
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues directly with customers
Manage and coordinate suppliers when electrical design activities are outsourced

Requirements

What you’ll need

English fluency
Dutch language
Currently and legally authorized to reside and work in the hiring country

International relocation or remote work arrangements outside of the hiring country will not be considered
Ability to deliver electrical designs within project schedules and meet customer requirements and applicable machine safety standards
Ability to analyze customer requirements and translate them into electrical specifications
Ability to develop detailed electrical designs within cross-functional teams
Ability to design electrical systems
Ability to create electrical schematics and bills of materials (BOMs)
Ability to validate designs for functionality and safety
Knowledge of safety-related PLC software and machine safety requirements
Ability to communicate technical matters in English with international colleagues, suppliers, and customers
Ability to coach and mentor Electrical Engineers
Ability to serve as Lead Engineer on project teams
