About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide first-level support for ShopGrid custom MES, Ignition, reporting solutions, integrations, and manufacturing applications
  • Facilitate ServiceNow incidents, service requests, and feature requests through prioritization, routing, tracking, communication, and closure
  • Troubleshoot MES workflows, work orders, routings, transactions, configuration, access, reports, and ERP integration issues
  • Support Ignition applications using Python/Jython scripting, tag configuration, gateway diagnostics, database connectivity, and application testing
  • Use SQL to validate data, investigate discrepancies, support root cause analysis, and monitor interfaces and system health
  • Execute functional and regression testing for updates, enhancements, integrations, and deployments
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, support procedures, knowledge articles, user guides, test scripts, and training materials
  • Document legacy ShopGrid solutions, workflows, integrations, reports, labels, and configurations
  • Coordinate issue resolution with plant personnel, IT teams, Manufacturing Technology resources, and software vendors

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Preferred undergraduate degree in computer science, information systems, or related field and/or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years related experience in a business production environment
  • SQL querying, relational databases, data analysis, and technical troubleshooting
  • Python/Jython scripting, preferably within Inductive Automation Ignition
  • MES administration and manufacturing concepts, including work orders, routings, production workflows, transactions, data collection, and ERP integrations
  • ServiceNow request coordination, software testing, technical writing, and documentation development
  • Ability to work effectively across time zones
  • Ability to resolve complex issues and identify required interventions
  • Leadership, interpersonal, consulting, relationship-building, and influencing skills
  • Presentation, oral, and written communication skills
  • Ability to comply with and enforce state and federal regulations, company standards, and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct
  • Manufacturing industry experience is beneficial but not required
  • Experience with Ignition, Power BI, .NET, and related manufacturing technologies would be valuable but is not required
