About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Operate all functions of the slitting line
- Direct and coordinate slitter helpers
- Assist in setups and changeovers as required
- Perform quality inspection activities
- Visually and/or measurably inspect product for damage or defects
- Train slitter helpers with the Plant Supervisor
- Maintain high safety standards
- Maintain high housekeeping standards
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School or GED Equivalent
- 2 years in a Steel Service Center / Processing Environment
- Professional Business Attitude
- Superior Supervisory abilities
- Communication/Cooperative Interaction with Other Employees
- Computer data entry
- Proficient in Use of Micrometer, Vernier Caliper, Tape Measure
- Proficient in Math
- Forklift and Overhead Crane Operation
- Ability to work 1st shift Monday–Thursday, 5:00am–3:30pm
- Overtime as required
