About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and maintain software using Java, SQL, HTML, and JavaScript
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to design and implement new features

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree, coding bootcamp completion, or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Foundational understanding of object-oriented programming using Java
  • Familiarity with Spring Framework
  • Familiarity with Hibernate / JPA
  • Awareness of servlet containers such as Jetty
  • Experience with Maven or Gradle
  • Working knowledge of Git version control
  • Experience using IntelliJ IDEA
  • Familiarity with SQL databases, including writing SQL queries, JDBC connectivity, and ORM-based data access
  • Understanding of object-oriented, component-oriented, and service-oriented design principles
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence in English
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions in English
  • Agile software development methodologies, ORM technologies, Linux administration or command-line tools, and public cloud platforms are preferred, not required
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, use hands, reach with hands and arms, communicate clearly and effectively, and lift up to 10 pounds
  • Ability to work near moving mechanical parts
