About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prepare and post monthly journal entries
  • Support Accounts Payable activities by GL coding invoices
  • Assist in the month-end close process
  • Analyze and reconcile balance sheet accounts
  • Prepare and analyze sales and use tax returns
  • Contribute to special projects
  • Assess and recommend improvements to day-to-day procedures and controls
  • Respond to ad hoc requests for information and reports
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results
  • Report directly to the Senior Accountant
  • Support various brands within the Accessories Division

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
  • 2-3 years of professional work experience supporting financial and accounting initiatives
  • Strong technical acumen using MS Excel: v-lookups, pivots, and macros
  • Proficiency in working with different systems to retrieve and analyze data
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships with business partners
  • Limited domestic travel, potentially up to 5% if necessary
  • Experience with Power BI, Business Objects, JD Edwards, and/or OneStream preferred
  • Knowledge of accounting principles in accordance with GAAP
