About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and coordinate day-to-day operations of the Finishing Department, including Paint Line, E-Coat, Buffing, and Arms Assembly
  • Ensure production schedules are achieved while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency standards
  • Partner with Quality Assurance to investigate defects, implement corrective actions, and reduce scrap and rework
  • Monitor KPIs including productivity, efficiency, scrap, rework, and downtime
  • Identify opportunities to improve throughput, reduce waste, and optimize departmental performance
  • Conduct employee training, coaching, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions as necessary
  • Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations related to paint application and E-Coat processes
  • Lead hourly team members and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Develop employee skills and maintain compliance with company objectives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associates degree in a technical field or business management required
  • 2+ years of experience in metals machining and electronics manufacturing
  • Experience in paint systems, coating operations, assembly processes, or finishing operations preferred
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make effective real-time decisions
  • Demonstrated experience with lean or continuous improvement methodologies
  • B.S. degree in a technical field or business management preferred
  • Ability to supervise Paint Line, E-Coat, Buffing, and Arms Assembly operations
  • Ability to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards
  • Ability to talk, hear, sit, use hands and fingers, stand, walk, reach, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Close vision required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. when required
