About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Coordinate and manage the daily operations of ASSA ABLOY's product testing laboratory.
- Lead and develop a team of two direct reports.
- Ensure products meet applicable regulatory, certification, and quality requirements.
- Act as the key point of contact for testing, certification, and compliance matters.
- Support product development projects with test plans, testing activities, certifications, and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate external testing activities such as fire testing, CE marking, and ITT.
- Maintain laboratory accreditations, quality systems, testing methods, and required documentation.
- Drive continuous improvements in laboratory processes, efficiency, quality, and operational performance.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and performance management for the laboratory team.
- Report to the Standard and Compliance Manager.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Technical education combined with hands-on experience in product testing, laboratory environments, or verification/validation engineering.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory and certification requirements, including CE marking, and product compliance processes.
- Experience coordinating testing and certification activities with external laboratories, testing institutes, and certification bodies.
- Practical experience with calibration, measurement uncertainty, test equipment, and the development or execution of test methods.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects and stakeholders, and lead small teams or cross-functional activities.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Good English and Swedish communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Structured, analytical, detail-oriented, organized, quality-focused, proactive, and solution-oriented approach.
- Background screening may be required, subject to consent.
