About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Greet patients in a friendly and positive manner
  • Discuss and answer customer questions with a goal of one-call resolution
  • Update confidential information and insurance billing
  • Process credit card payments
  • Manage internal work-queue tasks and update information as necessary
  • Respond to website patient inquiries by phone, discuss concerns, and provide resolution
  • Work with collection agencies to update and provide accurate information
  • Respond to attorney requests for balances and correspondence; update and bill insurance
  • Complete workflows for patient self-pay accounts, review correspondence, post payments, and resolve concerns

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven experience answering high-volume calls in a call center or other customer support role is preferred
  • Previous healthcare experience is a big plus
  • Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with customer-service-focused aptitude
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated team player
  • Ability to function well in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment
  • Ability to sit at a desk and work at a computer for prolonged periods
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 10 pounds at times
