About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage leasing, marketing, and training for a portfolio of student housing communities
- Work with Corporate Operations, Marketing, Community Managers, and staff to set leasing goals and develop strategic marketing plans
- Lead leasing teams and achieve effective leasing, marketing, and positive resident relations
- Ensure leasing techniques, follow-up procedures, lease documentation, and reporting systems are effective and accurate
- Audit lease files and address resident complaints, concerns, and requests
- Develop resident retention programs, promotions, newsletters, and resident functions
- Show, lease, and move in prospective residents
- Develop relationships with business contacts and vendors
- Mentor team members on leasing and marketing skills and model customer service techniques
- Monitor company and regional performance, industry topics, resident satisfaction, social media, and online campaigns
- Develop marketing communications and assist with annual marketing plans, budgets, campaigns, design, and outreach
- Monitor leasing and renewal progress and supervise leasing and renewal events
- Maintain product, competition, and market knowledge and complete weekly market survey reports
- Assist with hiring, training, coaching, counseling, and supervision of on-site staff
- Conduct on-site and remote training, outreach training, follow-ups, social media branding training, and SharePoint training content development
- Travel approximately 75% annually for property visits, conferences, training, and other business activities
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred or one year of experience in the student housing industry
- Ability to understand and perform all on-site software functions
- Basic computer skills required
- Prior experience managing social media and digital marketing campaigns strongly preferred
- Creative design experience and proficiency in Canva or Adobe suites strongly preferred
- Basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements
- Position entails travel estimated at 75% of work time annually
