About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage accounting, financial reporting, regulatory compliance, treasury, taxation, and financial control functions for the Foreign Reinsurance Branch
  • Support compliance with IFSCA financial reporting, solvency, governance, and statutory requirements
  • Maintain books of accounts and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Manage general ledger, journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing
  • Account for reinsurance premiums, claims, commissions, and reserves
  • Prepare and submit regulatory returns and management reports
  • Liaise with auditors, regulators, actuaries, compliance teams, tax advisors, and authorities
  • Support internal and external audits and implement audit recommendations
  • Maintain documentation for regulatory inspections and audits
  • Monitor bank accounts, cash positions, investments, fund transfers, liquidity, capital, and solvency reporting
  • Coordinate tax compliance, tax return filing, statutory payments, assessments, and audits
  • Implement and monitor financial controls and approval processes
  • Support risk management, fraud prevention, and operational control activities
  • Coordinate with Head Office finance teams and provide financial analysis and management information to senior management

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Based in Ahmedabad, India
  • Work hours: 9:30 AM–6:30 PM IST
  • Work 5 days a week in office
  • Maintain accurate books of accounts in accordance with applicable accounting standards and IFSCA requirements
  • Support compliance with IFSCA regulations applicable to IFSC Insurance Offices
  • Knowledge of financial reporting, solvency, governance, and statutory requirements under IFSCA
  • Experience with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Experience managing general ledger, journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
  • Knowledge of reinsurance premiums, claims, commissions, and reserves accounting
  • Ability to prepare regulatory returns and management reports
  • Ability to liaise with auditors, regulators, actuaries, compliance teams, tax advisors, and authorities
  • Knowledge of direct and indirect tax compliance and statutory payments
  • Knowledge of financial controls, approval processes, risk management, fraud prevention, and operational controls
  • Ability to coordinate with Head Office finance teams and external service providers
