Participate in Assurant’s 12-week immersive internship experience
Plan, develop, and support applications in various languages and disciplines
Apply Agile Application Development principles
Collaborate with product owners, engineers, designers, and business partners
Research and solve problems to design solutions producing desired business outcomes
Work and think independently
Work through and assist with production issues for supported applications
Prepare documentation to ensure smooth handoff to team members
Participate in Dojos, tech talks, learning experiences, mentorship, networking, and engagement opportunities
Showcase completed work to leadership

Requirements

What you’ll need

Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Development, Information Systems, or a related program at an accredited university
At least one semester remaining following the summer internship
Expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2029
Coursework or example code relevant to Assurant’s technology areas
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Project or team work experience
Presentation and tech challenge experience
Creative problem-solving ability
Ability to demonstrate logical thinking
Community involvement through clubs or troops, volunteering engagements, or community support
Experience or coursework with AI usage using CoPilot, Claude, and/or Rovo to build skills and agents
Knowledge of integrations for authentication and authorization using webhooks and service accounts
Experience with observability tooling such as Datadog and Dynatrace
Knowledge of Azure or AWS cloud hosting
Experience with Azure DevOps or Jira project management tooling
Knowledge of development languages and frameworks such as .NET, React, Angular, Android, iOS, Oracle, and QA Automation
Employment contingent upon completion of required identity verification, which may include biometric technology
