About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the strategic and operational direction of a defined geographic automotive business
  • Achieve and exceed revenue targets, grow market share, manage budgets, and ensure exceptional client satisfaction
  • Oversee regional sales team performance and drive new business development
  • Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with Assurant Dealer Services goals
  • Drive revenue growth, margin performance, cost management, profitability, and commercial excellence
  • Research and propose innovative strategies for strategic account growth
  • Develop best practices for measuring and optimizing strategic activities and data-driven decision making
  • Analyze customer data to inform strategic planning, increase revenue, and drive business value
  • Present account-performance data, identify income-improvement opportunities, and implement cross-selling strategies
  • Address service gaps and lead client-conflict resolution
  • Measure client satisfaction and address opportunities for improvement
  • Collaborate with risk management on regulatory risk, client compliance, and oversight requirements
  • Lead, mentor, develop, and performance-manage regional sales managers and support staff
  • Build a high-performance, results-driven culture
  • Monitor division sales performance and pipeline metrics and provide coaching
  • Direct 8 Regional Managers and approximately 20–35 direct and indirect reports

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Marketing or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in the retail automotive space, with concentration in the F&I arena
  • 15 or more years in the Automotive Insurance experience and/or training industry
  • Proven track record of strategic goal setting and personnel oversight, development and managing large, complex accounts
  • Strong knowledge of the automotive ecosystem—OEMs, tiered suppliers, dealers, or fleet/aftermarket services
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and client relationship management skills

  • Up to 70% travel
  • Strong preference for candidates who reside or are open to relocation to the Dallas, Houston, Phoenix, Los Angeles, or Chicago markets
