About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Read and interpret source documents such as canceled checks, sales reports, bills, and other records
- Enter data into designated fields or systems using keyboards or scanners
- Compile, sort, and organize data before entry
- Verify data accuracy before and after entry
- Locate and correct data entry errors or escalate issues to supervisors
- Compare entered data with source documents and correct discrepancies
- Re-enter data in verification format when required
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, data entry tasks, and completed work
- Document and record customer and client information in appropriate systems
- Manage workload and deadlines independently to complete projects on time
- Report to a Torrance location on the first day to pick up equipment and receive setup instructions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time efficiently
- Proficiency documenting and recording customer and client information accurately
- Previous experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and other Microsoft Office tools
- Proven data entry speed and accuracy, including ability to complete a data entry speed and accuracy test if required
- 8–10 years of related data entry or similar experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects while meeting deadlines
- Strong organizational skills for compiling, sorting, and maintaining data and activity logs
- Comfort working with financial records, sales reports, and billing information
- Experience maintaining accurate logs and documentation for audit and reporting purposes
- Familiarity with keyboards, scanners, and standard computer-based data entry devices
