About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Become an expert in payments, the Astra platform, payment rails, and routes
  • Own the full sales cycle for Astra’s most strategic opportunities, from first touch through procurement, technical review, legal redlines, and signature
  • Lead executive-level presentations and technical deep-dives
  • Build relationships across economic, technical, and compliance buyers
  • Develop creative outbound strategies to create and nurture opportunities
  • Sell consultatively and competitively throughout the sales cycle
  • Build and defend the business case against incumbents and the option to do nothing
  • Forecast with discipline and defend committed dates and assumptions
  • Research customers’ businesses and uncover motivations to position solutions
  • Channel customer insights internally to influence product roadmaps and go-to-market strategy
  • Share best practices, onboard new account executives, and contribute to the sales playbook
  • Apply AI tools to improve research, automate workflows, and increase output
  • Collaborate with Integrations, Engineering, and Compliance teams for sales and onboarding execution

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years of full-cycle B2B sales experience, including at least three years selling payments or financial technology to enterprise or upper mid-market buyers
  • Track record of closing larger, multi-stakeholder deals, including navigating procurement, RFP questionnaires, and legal redlines
  • Executive presence and ability to present to C-suite audiences
  • Demonstrated success in prospecting and consultative sales with strong discovery and closing skills
  • Fluency in technical product sales within the FinTech or Payments ecosystem
  • Ability to translate payment rails, settlement timing, and program mechanics into customer value
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, self-awareness, and emotional intelligence
  • Disciplined outbound prospecting and pipeline development
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity while remaining coachable
  • Highly collaborative and team-focused
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% annually
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Must not require visa sponsorship to continue working in the United States
