About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as a field-based professional providing scientific, clinical, and therapeutic-area expertise for AstraZeneca’s lupus program and other immunology compounds in development
Engage in scientific exchange with medical and scientific experts, healthcare professionals, and researchers
Identify pre-clinical, clinical, and post-marketing study investigators
Provide actionable information to internal collaborators to improve the value and appropriate use of AstraZeneca products
Respond to customer inquiries with focused, balanced clinical and scientific information
Deliver clinical and scientific information that clinically differentiates AstraZeneca products
Provide clinical support and deliver data presentations regionally and nationally

Requirements

What you’ll need

Advanced Clinical/Science Degree required (e.g., MD, DO, PharmD, PhD, NP, PA)
At least 2 years of experience in a Medical Science Liaison role or related therapeutic experience
Knowledge of customer segments and market dynamics
Demonstrated expertise in discussing scientific content with varying audiences
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to travel 50–70%
Must reside in the territory
Immunology, rheumatology, or biologic experience desirable
Extensive Medical Science Liaison experience highly desirable for candidates without a doctorate-level degree
