About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Engage in scientific exchange with medical and scientific experts, including healthcare professionals and researchers
Identify pre-clinical, clinical, and post-marketing study investigators
Provide actionable information to internal collaborators that improves the value and appropriate use of AstraZeneca products
Respond to customer inquiries with focused and balanced clinical and scientific information
Deliver clinical and scientific information that clinically differentiates AstraZeneca products
Provide clinical support and deliver data presentations regionally and nationally
Support AstraZeneca’s lupus program and other immunology compounds in development
Work as a field-based professional across the assigned territory

Requirements

What you’ll need

Advanced Clinical/Science Degree required (e.g., MD, DO, PharmD, PhD, NP, PA)
At least 2 years of experience in a Medical Science Liaison role
Knowledge of customer segments and market dynamics
Demonstrated expertise in discussing scientific content with varying audiences
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated, with ability to work both independently and as a team
Ability to travel (50-70%)
Must reside in territory
Immunology, rheumatology, or biologic experience desirable
Extensive Medical Science Liaison experience highly desirable for candidates without a doctorate level degree
