About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build a high-performing team through leadership, empowerment, coaching, and development of 6 Specialty Care Sales Representatives to exceed sales performance expectations within assigned budgets
- Partner cross-functionally with Medical, Market Access, Sales Operations, and Marketing to translate field insights into brand and territory plans
- Implement compliant commercial initiatives that drive customer impact and sales performance
- Create a high-performance and positive team culture that empowers innovation, knowledge sharing, experimentation, and risk-taking
- Own forward-thinking business plans addressing local business opportunities and threats and reflecting the external landscape
- Review monthly performance against expectations, identify opportunities, course-correct, and improve business outcomes
- Build strategic relationships with Healthcare Providers and identify innovative solutions to advance cardiovascular care and patient outcomes
- Collaborate with Medical Affairs and Marketing to create solutions for key customers and address market needs
- Ensure compliance with external regulations and internal policies, including adverse event reporting
- Build and accelerate AstraZeneca’s CVRM franchise in Canada
- Report to the Commercial CVRM Director
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree required
- 8+ years of commercial pharmaceutical experience
- Experience in sales, sales training, marketing, or sales management, with sales management experience
- Demonstrated success in people leadership, including coaching, performance management, and team development
- Solid understanding of a manager’s roles and responsibilities and their impact on Specialty Care Sales Representative capabilities, including therapeutic knowledge, territory management, selling and planning skills, product promotion, customer advocacy, and the patient journey
- Proven track record of analyzing customer insights and executing strategies to deliver on sales goals
- Strong oral and written communication and active listening skills
- Ability to present and communicate effectively among diverse groups and in one-on-one sessions
- Self-starter, results-oriented, standout colleague with superior people and motivational skills
- Strong project management, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills with demonstrated agility
- Collaborative team player able to thrive in diverse, cross-functional environments and enhance team cohesion and agility
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to travel, including overnight stays up to 20% of the time
- Fluency in oral and written English
- Fluency in French would be an asset
