About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deliver the value and potential of AstraZeneca’s oncology pipeline
  • Provide inspirational leadership and prioritize tumor-level geography execution for the GI Oncology team
  • Coach and lead the team while encouraging dedication, trust, collaboration, and partnership
  • Recruit, hire, and develop an impactful team with a culture of inclusion
  • Drive geography sales performance through implementation of tumor business priorities from the Tumor Geo Plan
  • Lead the cross-functional tumor-focused team and facilitate insight sharing and collaboration across AstraZeneca teams
  • Collate insights to identify the scope and priority of educational needs for the geography plan
  • Communicate with the brand team to identify resources available for geography utilization
  • Manage and mentor Oncology Account Specialists, focusing on account-plan skills and identifying appropriate opportunities
  • Ensure appropriate business conduct, oversight, training, and monitoring across the team
  • Uphold AstraZeneca values, ethical standards, and compliance expectations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must live within the geography: ND, SD, NE, MN, WI, IL, IA
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical sales or related experience in healthcare
  • A valid driver’s license and safe driving record
  • Indirect or direct people leader experience
  • Live near a major airport
  • 3+ years of Oncology sales leadership and/or people management experience (preferred)
  • 8+ years of pharma sales (preferred)
  • 3+ years of strong financial management and business insight (preferred)
  • Exposure and/or experience in Marketing, Strategy, Sales Force Effectiveness, or Sales Operations (preferred)
  • Confirmed clinical/scientific skill (preferred)
  • Demonstrated collaboration, entrepreneurialism, flexibility, and tenacity (preferred)
  • Proven capability to drive innovation and continuous improvement (preferred)
