About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead AI Commercial strategy and portfolio ownership for the Oncology Business Unit Europe & Canada region
  • Serve as the single point of contact and engagement owner for AI Commercial capability programs
  • Maintain AI roadmaps aligned with business needs and develop business cases with business partners
  • Translate stakeholder needs into well-defined AI use cases with metrics, requirements, data needs and risk tiering
  • Co-lead AI solution delivery, including pilot shaping, scaled deployment, adoption, change readiness, KPI tracking, ROI realization and remediation or decommissioning
  • Own the full lifecycle of AI solutions from ideation through delivery, adoption and decommissioning
  • Build bridges between regional and market business teams and technical experts in AIC, EAI, Commercial IT and Global Business Services
  • Champion commercial AI programs enhancing customer engagement through actionable AI insights and agentic platforms
  • Partner on AI capability-building programs and support AI literacy and upskilling
  • Lead change management, stakeholder engagement, governance, data compliance and adoption of AI-enabled ways of working
  • Ensure AI use cases comply with enterprise governance, quality, legal, compliance, pharmacovigilance, safety and local-code requirements
  • Scan internal and external trends and track industry, market and innovation shifts to identify opportunities and risks
  • Define KPIs and monitoring to evaluate progress and pivot when needed
  • Develop delivery partnerships and coordinate ownership, priorities and hand-offs across enterprise AI and business teams
  • Act as primary interface between the business area and CAI Capability and Enterprise AI teams
  • Report to the VP AIC and maintain dotted-line connection to the Region

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Substantial proven experience leading transformation programs in commercial pharma
  • Demonstrated commercial and scientific domain experience reflecting a deep understanding of the business function and Region
  • Strong analytical and communication skills at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to operate successfully in highly matrixed organizations
  • Effective interpersonal and relationship management skills with a consultative approach
  • Operational effectiveness and highly organized processes with follow-through
  • Strong initiative to understand core business goals and establish processes or programs
  • Financial background and understanding of forecasts, budgets, financial activities and tools
  • Resourceful, motivated, influential and proactive; able to prioritize in a fast-growing organization
  • Experience in strategic planning processes and tools and/or project management tools
  • Graduate degree (MBA, Masters, MD or PhD) preferred
  • Experience leading and managing alliances or strategic partnerships
  • Experience translating business needs into a coordinated business proposal and plan for cross-functional senior leadership
  • Ability to develop creative and simple solutions to complex problems
