About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead transformation and commercial innovation programs involving AI across the Oncology Business Unit Europe & Canada region
  • Serve as the embedded business translator between commercial business functions and AI Commercial and Enterprise AI organizations
  • Translate business needs into well-scoped AI use cases with clear metrics, requirements, data needs, and risk tiering
  • Own AI solution lifecycles from ideation through delivery, adoption, value realization, remediation, or decommissioning
  • Maintain AI roadmaps aligned with business, medical, access, and R&D priorities
  • Develop business cases and value narratives to support prioritization
  • Co-lead pilot shaping, scaled deployment, local adoption, change readiness, KPI tracking, and ROI realization
  • Act as a change leader embedding AI into operations and supporting AI literacy and upskilling
  • Ensure data governance, regulatory compliance, evidence frameworks, and human-in-the-loop oversight where required
  • Partner with Enterprise Demand Excellence, AITT, Commercial AI, Global Business Services, and other enterprise teams
  • Scan internal and external trends and track industry, market, and innovation shifts to identify opportunities and risks
  • Define KPIs and monitoring, pivoting initiatives when needed
  • Act as the primary interface between the business area and CAI Capability and Enterprise AI teams
  • Sit on the AIC Leadership team reporting to VP AIC, with dotted-line connection to the Region

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Substantial proven experience leading transformation programs in commercial pharma
  • Demonstrated commercial and scientific domain experience reflecting a deep understanding of the needs of the business function and Region
  • Strong analytical and communication skills at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to operate successfully in highly matrixed organizations
  • Effective interpersonal and relationship management skills with a consultative approach
  • Ability to interact and build trust
  • Operational effectiveness and highly organized processes with follow-through
  • Strong initiative to understand core business goals and establish processes or programs to set direction, generate alignment, and push forward
  • Financial background and understanding of forecasts, budgets, financial activities, and tools
  • Resourceful, motivated, influential, and proactive; able to prioritize in a fast-growing organization
  • Experience in strategic planning processes and tools and/or project management tools
  • Graduate degree (MBA, Masters, MD or PhD preferred)
  • Experience leading and managing alliances or strategic partnerships
  • Experience translating business needs into a coordinated business proposal and plan for a cross-functional senior leadership team
  • Ability to develop creative and simple solutions to complex problems
