About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support preparation and review of UK corporation tax computations and other UK obligations, including patent box and capital allowances claims
  • Delegate and review analysis supporting tax activities prepared by finance colleagues
  • Support wider tax governance processes, including Corporate Criminal Offence legislation and Senior Accounting Officer regime obligations
  • Review and advise on UK tax issues, including Corporate Interest Restriction rules and Controlled Foreign Companies risk assessments
  • Monitor UK tax legislation changes, assess implications, and design process changes
  • Liaise with UK accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely information for tax reporting, tax computations, and audit queries
  • Prepare responses to HMRC audit queries and participate in HMRC meetings and negotiations
  • Provide day-to-day tax advice to the UK business and assess project implications for UK compliance and tax accounting
  • Prepare quarterly and year-end UK tax provisions for reporting and Group consolidation, complying with Sarbanes-Oxley processes and collaborating with statutory auditors
  • Contribute to group planning and forecasting cycles
  • Drive process efficiencies through automation and AI

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Qualified tax professional with ACCA, ACA, or CTA
  • Good accounting skills
  • Significant experience in UK corporate tax compliance and reporting
  • Ability to monitor changes in UK tax legislation, assess business impact, and translate changes into updated processes or controls
  • Experience contributing to group planning, budgeting, and forecasting cycles from a tax perspective
  • Strong analytical and research skills
  • Ability to utilise technology effectively to operate tax processes
  • Ability to lead and progress numerous actions in a coordinated and organised manner
  • Efficient process management and delegation skills
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Interest or experience in automation and AI-enabled process improvement
