About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for enhancements and new products
Develop software and tools in support of design, infrastructure, and technology platforms
Provide operational support for Java-based applications and services running in production
Troubleshoot application, server, and infrastructure issues to quickly restore service
Analyze logs, performance metrics, and system behavior to identify root causes
Support Linux-based server environments and application infrastructure
Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to improve operational efficiency
Collaborate with software engineers, DevOps, SRE, and infrastructure teams
Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and production support activities
Monitor application health, system performance, and availability
Document operational procedures and troubleshooting guides
Recommend improvements to system reliability, scalability, and automation

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A) from four-college or university and 5 to 8 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Expert-level experience supporting and troubleshooting Java applications
Strong knowledge of Linux server administration
Experience supporting production environments with high availability requirements
Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Terraform, or similar
Proficiency in Python scripting
Working knowledge of Go (Golang)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills
Experience working with various development programs
Ability to quickly learn customer support processes, tools and techniques
Understanding of how to configure third-party software components and technologies
Ability to perform root cause analysis of network, operating system, and other issues
Ability to collaborate and work remotely including use of communication tools
Ability to multi-task and self-organize including prioritization of activities
Experience using monitoring systems
Attention to detail
Must have the ability to perform office-related tasks which may include prolonged sitting or standing
Must have the ability to move from place to place within an office environment
Must be able to use a computer
Must have the ability to communicate effectively
