About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Verify prior employment, education, professional certifications, and references for Asurint clients’ pre-employment screening processes
- Conduct investigative research using technology platforms and contacting verifying parties
- Document research outcomes and perform data entry using proprietary software
- Update order statuses appropriately
- Provide professional internal and/or external customer care for product questions or problem resolution
- Handle confidential information responsibly and with good judgment
- Contact clients and outside resources by phone or email to verify information
- Analyze collected information to identify potential problems or discrepancies
- Perform extensive internet inquiries and searches to support verification fulfillment
- Locate information quickly and accurately in accordance with applicable federal and state laws and procedures
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in customer service, or research, or investigative experience is preferred
- Experience with the legal/court system is preferred
- Experience with background screening is preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar software is required
- Relevant business management systems such as general ledger, HRIS, CRM, etc. is preferred
- High school diploma or a related field is required
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred
- If you do any work-related driving while at Asurint, a driver’s license and ability to maintain a driving record that is satisfactory to the company’s liability insurance carrier is required
- 0 to 2 years of relevant experience is preferred
- No supervisory experience
- Ability to work generally normal Eastern Time Zone business hours
- Some travel by personal automobile and a valid driver’s license may be required
- Occasional overnight travel may be required
- Ability to lift light objects (less than 20 pounds) and carry them short distances (20 feet or less) is required
