About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Integrate and support new technology platforms into network environments
  • Develop, test, train, and create methods and procedures for new technology introduction
  • Collaborate with CTO Partners in Agile/DevOps environments
  • Review and sign off on CTO designs
  • Utilize software-defined networking, virtualization, containerization, CI/CD pipelines, custom tools, and advanced data analytics
  • Resolve complex network issues and critical outages
  • Provide technical leadership and lead root cause analysis
  • Drive problem management initiatives
  • Develop tools and metrics for network operations
  • Lead significant projects with strategic autonomy and influence executive decisions
  • Mentor less experienced staff
  • Implement long-term plans impacting the organization
  • Collaborate with senior leadership
  • Contribute to AT&T compliance with applicable environmental laws and regulations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Certification is required in some areas
  • Advanced networking knowledge, including software-defined networking, virtualization, and containerization
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines for automation
  • Ability to create custom tools, network performance metrics, and network automation
  • Experience resolving complex network issues, critical outages, root cause analysis, and problem management
  • Ability to work onsite five days per week at the designated work location
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week
