About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Translate core architecture and business requirements into final technical solutions across platform, network, software, and cloud
  • Perform functional, performance, and reliability analysis using engineering models and techniques
  • Define designs and provide technical enablement for application components and subsystems
  • Drive important design decisions for the development team
  • Elaborate designs and interfaces for specific components and allocate responsibilities to subsystems
  • Align development teams to a shared technical direction and partner on solution and interface elaboration
  • Validate technology assumptions and evaluate implementation alternatives
  • Establish critical non-functional requirements at the solution level
  • Create and enable the Continuous Delivery Pipeline
  • Participate in planning, high-level system design, system and solution demos, and retrospective workshops
  • Develop the Architectural Runway for new business features and capabilities
  • Work with portfolio stakeholders, Solution Architects, and Enterprise Architects to realize implementation enablers
  • Support architectural integration of external components, systems, and platforms
  • Serve as subject matter expert in Billing, Usage, and Payment for the eCommerce platform
  • Generate detailed application-specific design documents from high-level requirements and solution documents
  • Lead design aspects of functions and provide guidance to engineering and product teams
  • Determine primary components and subsystems, technical trade-offs, interfaces, and collaborations
  • Lead architecture vision and roadmaps for existing and modernized platforms
  • Lead and influence cross-functional teams
  • Perform cloud and SaaS integrations with Amdocs BSSe, Azure, and AWS

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Engineering
  • Five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation
  • Experience utilizing application development and engineering with comprehensive understanding of the entire technology ecosystem
  • Experience using eCommerce design and solutioning
  • Knowledge of 4G/LTE/5G and broadband technologies
  • Experience determining primary components and subsystems, analyzing technical trade-offs, and defining interfaces and collaborations
  • Experience leading creation and execution of architecture vision and roadmaps for existing and modernized platforms
  • Experience leading and influencing cross-functional teams
  • Experience performing cloud and SaaS integrations with Amdocs BSSe platform, Azure, and AWS
  • Experience working with 4G/LTE/5G and broadband technologies, 3GPP, and TMForum standards
  • Experience using Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect
  • Experience utilizing AI and Machine Learning (ML) technologies
  • Detailed working knowledge of EA Sparx for software application design representation
  • Understanding of microservice design philosophy and Event Driven Architecture
  • Expertise in cloud and SaaS/PaaS platform integration
  • Expertise in major platform migration efforts
