About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage the team to optimize implementation and maintenance of credit and collections systems, procedures, and policies
- Ensure timely receivables, mitigate financial risk, and maintain strong client relationships
- Evaluate the creditworthiness of current and potential customers
- Oversee collections and recovery of outstanding debts
- Set up payment plans, negotiate settlements, and collaborate with collection agencies
- Manage and mentor the credit and collections team
- Provide training, set performance goals, and conduct regular evaluations
- Prepare reports on credit and collections activities
- Ensure compliance with policies and regulations
- Analyze data and recommend improvements
- Communicate with stakeholders and leverage technology for process improvements
- Manage departmental budgets
- Resolve complex credit disputes to minimize financial loss
- Influence hiring, firing, disciplinary, and promotional decisions for subordinates
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired
- 3+ years of related experience
- Ability to evaluate customer creditworthiness using financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant data
- Experience overseeing collections, payment plans, settlements, and collection agencies
- Team management, mentoring, training, performance goal-setting, and evaluations
- Financial reporting, data analysis, policy and regulatory compliance
- Ability to manage departmental budgets and resolve complex credit disputes
- Ability to work in the office a minimum of 5 days per week in Orlando, Florida
- No relocation offered
