Key responsibilities & impact
  • Ensure internal standards and procedures are followed
  • Interpret customer requirements and apply standard network design approaches for service delivery into the operational baseline
  • Fully document network designs with diagrams, bills of material, cabling sheets, configurations, and supporting documents
  • Provide technical expertise to network engineers and technicians
  • Solve complex problems with innovative and scalable solutions
  • Support and leverage standardized policies and implementation of automation
  • Develop secure network designs with configurations aligned to DISA STIGs and enterprise policies
  • Deliver and implement customer network requirements within SLAs and contract constraints
  • Support customer enterprise infrastructure across CAN/LAN, wide area networks, and cybersecurity-related infrastructure
  • Design, build, and maintain automated deployment workflows for multi-vendor networks
  • Build and maintain network source-of-truth integrations to drive accurate automated configurations and eliminate drift
  • Create and manage CI/CD pipelines for network changes, testing, dry-runs, and automated deployment gates
  • Implement automated state validation, pre-flight checks, and post-flight telemetry verification
  • Develop automation code, wrappers, and integration scripts using REST APIs, NETCONF/RESTCONF, and gNMI

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Required Clearance: TS/SCI with polygraph
  • Candidate must have 10 years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education
  • Must be compliant with DoD 8140 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2
  • Experience specifically in network engineering to include network design and implementation
  • Prior responsibility for production network hardware and software configurations for Cisco, and/or Juniper infrastructure
  • Network engineering and design experience with MPLS WANs and/or similar WAN protocols, network management tools, and firewalls
  • Hands-on experience implementing and troubleshooting standard routing protocols in a production network, such as OSPF or BGP
  • Hands-on experience implementing and troubleshooting standard switching and trunking protocols in a production network, such as VLANs, 802.1q, and port-channels
  • Proficient in working with cryptographic devices such as KG-175s and KG-142s
  • Skilled in Automation: Ansible, Terraform, or Python
  • Proficient in coding: Python
  • Experience designing, building, and maintaining automated deployment workflows for multi-vendor data center, campus, and cloud networks
