About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Architect, design, and analyze large-scale distributed systems
  • Define end-to-end system architecture across software components
  • Evaluate and select technologies including cloud platforms, microservices, event-driven systems, APIs, and data platforms
  • Lead architectural design decisions and serve as the primary contact for complex technical solutions
  • Coordinate system design and integration across frontend, backend, APIs, data stores, and infrastructure
  • Design and develop system versions and prototypes to optimize performance, scalability, and fault tolerance
  • Drive modernization initiatives, including migration from legacy systems to cloud-native architectures
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend emerging technologies and tools
  • Define and enforce technical standards, design patterns, and engineering best practices
  • Collaborate with architects, product managers, engineering directors, and cross-functional teams
  • Review and refine architectural solutions for large-scale initiatives
  • Develop and maintain architectural diagrams, design documents, API specifications, and operation guidelines
  • Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership through design reviews, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions
  • Improve software development lifecycle processes, CI/CD pipelines, release processes, testing strategies, and engineering workflow automation
  • Lead performance optimization efforts across distributed systems
  • Participate in production support and incident management, including troubleshooting and hot fixes
  • Build multiple system versions addressing performance and scale
  • Develop technical documentation on applications and systems

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Applied Computer Science, Information Systems, or Computer Engineering
  • Seven (7) years of progressive, postbaccalaureate experience in the job offered or seven (7) years of progressive, postbaccalaureate experience in a related occupation
  • Experience building multiple versions systems addressing performance and scale
  • Experience developing technical documentation on applications and systems
  • Experience utilizing React.js, Next.js, TypeScript, Redux, MUI, Styled Components, Tailwind CSS, React Native, and Java/Kotlin
  • Experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Cloud, Hibernate, Struts2, REST, SOAP APIs, GraphQL, Cassandra NoSQL, Oracle, Postgres, and MySQL
  • Experience using Kafka and networking protocols including HTTP, HTTPS, TCP, and UDP
  • Experience with Jenkins, SonarQube, Veracode, Helm, Docker, and Kubernetes
  • Experience with Maven, Gradle, Ant, GitLab, Bitbucket, and GitHub
  • Experience with Google Cloud, Azure Cloud, Splunk, and Dynatrace
