About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document new and existing software components
  • Develop initiatives for customers’ and employees’ digital experience across consumer distribution channels
  • Lead the software product development life cycle from inception through production launch and post-production support
  • Design modular and scalable web components
  • Lead large cross-organizational software development projects
  • Use current web and micro-service technologies
  • Align development teams on shared technical direction and elaborate solutions and interfaces
  • Work with portfolio stakeholders and solution and enterprise architects to develop and realize implementation enablers
  • Build high-quality code using unit testing and test-driven development
  • Establish critical non-functional requirements at the solution level
  • Participate in code and document reviews
  • Collaborate with peer, DevOps, and support organizations on technical issues and provide guidance
  • Translate business needs into technical requirements and estimates
  • Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes
  • Troubleshoot code-level problems and resolve programming and design issues
  • Focus on application and process scalability, security, and availability
  • Contribute to design, architecture, technical roadmaps, and technical debt elimination
  • Build Java-based, high-volume, high-transaction e-commerce applications

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or Computer Science
  • 2 years of experience in the job offered or 2 years of experience in a related occupation
  • Experience utilizing Java, JavaScript, Python, REST Web Services, and Spring Boot
  • Experience utilizing PostgreSQL, SQL and NoSQL
  • Experience utilizing HTML, React.js, Angular and Node.js
