About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Strategically oversee and optimize vendor relationships and sourcing of technical products and services
- Gather technical requirements and prepare/evaluate RFPs
- Identify and analyze sourcing vendors and provide financial analysis and recommendations
- Support contract negotiations and oversee governance, service-level management, quality assurance, audit, compliance, vendor performance, and security procedures
- Review technology roadmaps, best practices, and current and future hardware, software, licensing, and sourcing trends
- Formulate strategies to rationalize vendors and products
- Manage vendor financials, business cases, contract analysis, benchmarking, penalties, payments/accruals, and cost-benefit analysis
- Oversee vendor access, connectivity, onboarding/offboarding, escalations, continuity, disaster recovery, transitions, executive coordination, data management, reporting, and metrics
- Apply knowledge of AT&T business functions and technologies to develop cost-effective vendor technology solutions
- Work independently on expansive projects with minimal supervision and interact with department teams and General Managers and above
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired in Computer Science
- 2+ years of related experience
- Certification is required in some areas
- In-depth knowledge of vendor and contract management, sourcing, technical products and services, SLAs, financial analysis, governance, audit, compliance, security, and technology roadmaps
