About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Apply digital mission engineering techniques to align DoD and industry capability architecture with USSTRATCOM’s Enterprise Architecture
  • Provide TDL support for system integration and operational engineering efforts
  • Design, build, configure, test, and maintain highly complex infrastructure environments, operating systems, application software, and system management tools
  • Develop system architectures for new and existing computer systems
  • Perform logic design, I/O design, model formulation, computer architecture analysis and design, and digital systems engineering
  • Identify and implement innovative methods to improve production and operational efficiency
  • Prepare, review, and maintain engineering documentation, standards, processes, and procedures
  • Implement, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipeline tools and related automation capabilities
  • Support requirements decomposition, solution development, and technical analysis across enterprise IT and mission systems
  • Provide technical insight and guidance for engineering documentation, processes, and procedures

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or other relevant STEM field
  • 10+ years demonstrated experience in systems engineering, systems architecture, digital engineering, or related technical disciplines
  • Experience designing and engineering complex infrastructure and computer systems
  • Experience with operating systems, application software, system management tools, and systems integration
  • Experience performing systems development and design activities such as logic design, model development, architecture analysis, and systems engineering documentation
  • Ability to decompose mission or business needs into technical requirements and solution architectures
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline implementation, administration, or enhancement
  • Ability to create, maintain, and improve engineering documentation, processes, and procedures
  • ITIL 4 certification required within 9 months of hire
  • Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles and experience using modeling tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler or equivalent
  • DoD 8140-compliant certification required within 6 months of hire
  • TS/SCI clearance required
  • Experience with MBSE, SysML and/or UAF, or OCSMP/INCOSE training or certifications preferred
  • Enterprise IT domain expertise preferred
  • Experience supporting DoD, USSTRATCOM, or other defense-related enterprise architecture environments preferred
  • Must work at the customer site a minimum of 5 days per week; no relocation is offered
