  • Evaluate and approve or deny loan applications according to business unit standards in a timely manner
  • Gather information as necessary to make sound underwriting decisions
  • Respond to internal and external customer inquiries
  • Apply underwriting standards consistently
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks
  • Maintain strong documentation practices
  • Partner with lending, operations, and risk teams to support timely and high-quality credit decisions
  • Perform other duties as necessary to support department and business-unit goals and objectives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Typically requires 2+ years relevant experience
  • May require vocational or technical training
  • Basic knowledge of job procedures and tools obtained through work experience
  • Ability to evaluate and approve or deny loan applications according to business unit standards
  • Ability to gather information to make sound decisions
  • Ability to respond to internal and external customer inquiries
  • May require obtaining and/or maintaining NMLS registration
  • Ability to apply underwriting standards consistently
  • Ability to identify and mitigate potential risks

  • Ability to work under moderate supervision
