About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own development work from requirements through deployment
Write SuiteScript 2.x, including User Event, Client, Scheduled, Map/Reduce, Suitelets, and RESTlets
Build workflows, custom records, saved searches, SuiteQL queries, and Advanced PDF/HTML templates
Use AI to write code and help establish consistent, readable, safe coding standards
Work directly with clients to gather requirements, explain options, and discuss trade-offs
Help clients use NetSuite’s built-in AI features and APIs
Build AI-powered solutions where appropriate
Fix issues in live client environments without causing regressions
Document work so others can maintain it
Collaborate with functional consultants and seek senior input when needed

Requirements

What you’ll need

6+ years of NetSuite development with SuiteScript 2.x
At least two full implementations or major customization projects
Knowledge of script types and when to use each
Understanding of governance and performance
Experience with custom records, saved searches, SuiteQL, SuiteFlow, and roles and permissions
Experience with SDF and Git for source-controlled deployments
Integration experience with RESTlets, SuiteTalk/REST API, and middleware like Celigo or Boomi
Functional knowledge of Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Inventory/Manufacturing, and Finance/Rev Rec
Working knowledge of NetSuite’s native AI capabilities and APIs, including SuiteScript Generative AI module (N/llm), Prompt Studio, and AI Connector Service (MCP)
Daily use of AI coding tools and ability to verify their output
SuiteFoundation or SuiteCloud Developer certification
Experience working with US clients or a US consulting firm
Strong spoken and written English
Comfortable working 40 hours per week from 8:00am PST
